    Hello,
We have been asking about reservations at chaparral cove for the weekends of July 25th, and August 22nd.
Can you please send, or post, a detailed map *including RV spot numbers so we can pinpoint the spots we would like to rent.
We are wanting RV spot #’s 8-11 (old putah creek map) on the west side of Knoxville road.

  2. Robert & Dorothy,
We are still working on the RV & Camp site map. As soon as we have it finalized we will post it so that you can see which sites you would like to rent. In the meantime we have noted your reservations for July 23 – 25 and August 20-22. We will be in touch after the Memorial Day weekend to confirm your reservations. We thank you for your patience and assure you we will be posting the map and camping and RV rates soon. We are really working hard to get RV and camping operations up and running for Memorial Day weekend.

    Thank you

looking for dry or wet storage to keep 30 foot poontoon boat this summer i live in napa ca. and want to put my boat back at the lake as i can i miss the lake!!!!

  5. Aaron says:

    Hello,

Will the boat launch be available to boaters who aren’t camping. If so, what are the fees and the times of day (if any) that the boat launch will be available. Also will the boat launch be open year round?

    Thank you.

  6. Robert Torre says:

Will the launch ramp be open to day use at the other locations?

  7. Lake Berryessa says:

Launching will be open at Chaparral Cove (Putah Creek) and Lupine Shores (Steele Park). The other resorts will remain closed for this season but will be open next season. The government launch ramps will also be open.

  8. Lake Berryessa says:

Yes the boat launch will be available to anyone who would like to launch. Launch and Retrieval will be $20 and will be open from 6am to 10pm.

  9. Lake Berryessa says:

We will not have any wet storage this year. We may have some dry storage available later in the season. I have put your name on our contact list and we will contact you as soon as we have some storage available. We will do the best we can to move quickly to provide boat storage as soon as possible.

    Thank you

We are looking forward to camping at Putah Creek this weekend! You’re info says that there will not be BBQs. Will there be fire pits? Are camp fires going to be allowed?

Additionally, we are trying to get two campsites on the water, so we can bring our boat to shore. How do I go about requesting secific spots?

So glad that the lake is reopening!!

  11. Lake Berryessa says:

There will be no BBQs or fire pits provided but you may bring your own self-contained BBQ or fire pit. Camp fires will only be permitted in a contained fire pit. I can put you on the reservation list for 2 campsites. We are not taking requests for specific spots but we will do the best we can to accommodate you. Because all of the trailer homes have been removed most of the camp spots are lakeside with beautiful views.

  12. Gerald says:

When camping / RVing is it 30-35 per night for the camping + a boat launch fee or does the camping site fee include boat launch? ie: how much would it be for 2 night with a boat?

  13. Lake Berryessa says:

RV/camping is a separate charge than the boat launch fee. For example, for 2 nights it would be $60 for the RV spot and an additional $20 to launch and retrieve for a total of $80 for the weekend. This weekend there will be a 3 night minimum for RV and camping. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

  14. Julia F says:

I understand it’s your first week but how can I make a reservation at Putah Creek? Please call me at 707 365-9162 or 707 330-6271

  15. Hawlie says:

Just to clarify, Spanish Flats will not be open this season 2010. Is Putah creek open for the summer now?

    Mark,
I will put your reservation on our list and you will receive an email confirmation within a week. How many people will be in your party? We do not currently have any boats available for rent. We will not have a rental operation running this season. No open camp fires are allowed but you may bring enclosed fire pits and BBQs. Pets are allowed for a small fee. We do not have working showers. This season we will be operating with porta potties and portable sink units. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

  24. sandy Caudillo says:

Do you have water facets at any of the tent camping sites at Putah Creek so we can hook up our portabe shower tent?

  25. Keston says:

I have been coming to Lake Berryessa for years, and have stayed at every campground… the camping sites were WAY too small and cramped, and there was NO SECURITY. Putah Creek and Steele Park was like camping in a parking lot at an oakland raiders game, complete with gangs, guns, loud music and even ambulances at 2am in the morning. Rancho Monticello seemed to have the most space – but had disgusting wood porti potti’s and no flushing toilets at the campsites and again NO SECURITY or rules. Lake berryessa campgrounds in the past were NO RULES, gangland mayhem, which was a shame.

What are you going to do to change? Is it going to be more of the same? I sincerely hope that Pensus makes the campsites actual campsites instead of parking lots, ensure proper plumbing and SECURITY.

  26. Georgi Maule-ffinch says:

No we do not have any water hook ups available for this season. We will be working on those for next season.

  27. linda says:

  31. Bryan says:

We have reservations for this up coming weekend July 30 & 31 at Chapparel Cove. I have noticed in some of the post that there are no camp fire pits?? This cant be so. How can we camp without a fire? What are our options and is there any campsites with camp fires?

  32. Georgi Maule-ffinch says:

    Bryan,
You may bring a self contained fire pit and or BBQ. We currently do not have fire rings available and we cannot allow people to build campfires on the ground due to the Fire Code.

    Thank you,

  33. Georgi Maule-ffinch says:

The campsites are approximately 60 ft campsites which are much larger than they were previously and provide campers with much more room and privacy. We currently have 24 hours security who patrol the sites and make sure that everyone is being respectful of each other and being safe. We have a 10pm quiet hour that everyone is asked to comply with and security ensures that this is enforced. We do have porta potties for the 2010 season but they are new and kept very clean. This is only a temporary solution and permanent restroom and shower facilities will be installed.

  34. Bryan says:

    George,

Can we build a fire pit with rocks? If not, how far off the ground does the fire pit have to be? Thanks for your help and time. We are so excited about this weekend I just want to make sure everything is perfect.

  35. Georgi Maule-ffinch says:

Unfortunately you cannot build a fire pit with rocks. The fire pit just has to be slightly raised so that it is not touching the ground.

  36. Bryan says:

    George,

Thanks again for the response, we will make something work.

  37. Robert and Dorothy Iriks says:

When do you think you will have electricity and sewer installed for RV sites?
